Jack Harris developed neural nanites capable of flying after launching from a portable device. A top-secret government agency had hired him to devise a way for remote mind influence.


    Jack strongly opposed animal testing, but he knew his invention would work. So he pocketed the prototype, the size of a pen, and drove to a local grocery store to test it passively.


    After shopping, Jack went to his car to load it up with groceries.

    He glanced at a woman parking her car beside his, then partially lowering the windows. She then walked to the store. But, inside her car, he saw a small dog left frantically panting.


    "Hey lady, it''s too damn hot outside! Don''t leave your dog in the car!"


    "Mind your own business!" the woman shouted as she strutted off.


    Jack nervously fumbled for the device, aimed it at her, whispered some commands, and then pushed a button.
